Chilled-out evenings with laid-back sounds, fine wine and delectable foods are on the cards as the sun sets over Spier Werf this summer season.
Between 18:00 and 20:00 guests can dance, tap your feet, lounge on the lawn and spend quality time with friends and family as Mapumba Cilombo brings great tunes to entertain.
The multi-skilled musician – a singer, songwriter, guitarist and DJ – hails from Congo and has spent time in Zambia before arriving in South Africa. Inspired by folk melodies and Afropop, Mapumba’s international sound is the perfect soundtrack for a summer’s evening.
While enjoying the music you can indulge in award-winning wines and plenty of delicious food, including a pre-booked Spier Summer Picnic, an al fresco feast from the Farm Café, a pizza from Vadas Smokehouse & Bakery or a Farmer Angus burger from Bubbles & Braai.
The programme runs until Saturday 7 January, with performances scheduled for Thursday 22 and Friday 23 December; Thursday 29 and Friday 30 December; and Thursday 5 to Saturday 7 January. Admission is free. There may be cancellations due to weather.
