A co-creative exhibition, Breathe Breeze and Winged Things, will form part of the annual Solo Studios arts weekend in the Riebeek Valley from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 August.
The exhibition will feature works by 12 South African and European artists, and will be on display until Friday 16 August. It includes an interactive mobile installation facilitated by Helaine du Toit and a team from the Stellenbosch University (SU) School of Fine Art.
The exhibition is sponsored by Rasa and curated by Quentin du Plooy and Gerda Dierckx. The Rasa volunteer team and SU students are working alongside local school learners and exhibition visitors to create the interactive art installation, which will reflect the exhibition’s title.
The weekend, Solo Studios – Intimate Art Encounters, is an annual event in Riebeek Kasteel and Riebeek West.
