The annual Charity Art Auction of The Mariè Stander School of Art, held at Muratie Wine Farm on Monday 18 March, has again been a huge success with more than 400 guests attending. With beautiful art created by the school’s students, inspired by their favourite colour, live blues music by The Stander Gang band, lovely canapés by Redpepper Deli and much Muratie wine to be enjoyed, the evening had all the elements of being truly successful. Artworks went under the hammer of auctioneer Carl Malherbe and, as always, every artwork was sold. Enough funds were again raised to continue and provide for charities through the school’s food drive, winter school clothes, music instruments, art materials and much more. “We are extremely grateful we have had another very successful Charity Art Auction,” Stander said. “Since 2001 my art school has driven this very needy charity
