The Animal Welfare Society Stellenbosch (AWSS) is calling on the community to be heroes and join its 1 000 Life Changers Campaign.
The organisation experienced a significant surge in demand for its services, coupled with a distressing rise in the number of animal surrenders over the last few month. “This surge has placed immense strain on our resources, both in terms of manpower and financial capacity,” explained AWSS general manager Jessica Perrins.
“Our team has been working tirelessly to accommodate the growing number of animals in need, ensuring they receive the care, attention, and love they deserve. Regardless of the cause, the reality remains that more animals than ever are relying on our support for shelter, medical care, and rehabilitation.”
In a bid to ensure it can continue with its valuable work, the AWSS has launched the 1 000 Life Changers Campaign, which calls on the public to transform animals’ lives through a monthly donation of just R100.
Perrins said the generous support from donors and animal lovers has always been instrumental in enabling the AWSS to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals.
