The awards ceremony of the second annual Filmit Festival was held at The Homecoming Centre in Cape Town on Friday 4 November. Learners from across the country, who were all involved in various stages of the Filmit Festival programme, attended the event, which saw award winning filmmaker Uga Carlini acting as hostess. Hoër Meisieskool Bloemhof learner Mila Kotze (left) won the prize for best supporting actress for her role in Writing on your wrist, winning R1 000, a coaching session with actress Dorette Potgieter and a cameo appearance in local soap Suidooster.
