Easter is a magical time for little ones, and this Easter Sunday (31 March) young children and their parents can build wonderful memories at Vergelegen wine estate in Somerset West. Parents and children will meet at Stables family restaurant at 08:45, when children will receive bunny ears and Easter egg carriers. Foraging for yummy treats starts promptly at 09:00. The estate’s Octagonal Garden, established over 300 years ago, is home to ancient trees, finely wrought statuary and colourful shrubs and annuals, offering plenty of hiding places for Easter eggs. Only 60 tickets are available and online pre-booking is essential. The cost is R295 per child, which includes bunny ears, carriers and Easter eggs, plus an informal wine tasting for adults after the children’s event, from 10:00.
