Brave the cold for trail run at Muratie

The much-loved Mid-Year Trail Run, presented by Sportsmans Warehouse, returns to Muratie Wine Estate in Stellenbosch this Sunday (29 June), with participants having their pick between a 6 km or 11 km route. Walkers are welcome on the short route and there are prizes for scholars on the 6 km event as well. For fitter runners, the 11 km presents various terrain, but mostly single track. Registration starts at the Dirtopia Trail Centre at 08:00, while there will be staggered start times from 08:45. The event is family-friendly, with discounted online entry for under-18s and a festive atmosphere that includes refreshment stations, lucky draws, and prizes for category winners. All finishers will receive a medal and a cold drink. Pre-entries close tomorrow (Friday 27 June) at noon on dirtpass.co.za , but late entries will be available at an additional fee.
