This past June holiday, 20 young entrepreneurs were developed at Calling Academy. A Dutch “serious gaming” company 4Challenge presented the Young Entrepreneurs Adventure for the second year at this school. This year’s event included a Level 1 and a Level 2 experience, which were written by 4Challenge for Calling Academy to pilot in conjunction with a Dutch school. Learners had the opportunity to design products, develop marketing strategies, interact with suppliers and price their products, all while working in teams with learners in Holland through video calls. A programme coordinator from Holland, Wessel Uyterlinde, led a team of five mentors to guide the learners on their journey. These budding entrepreneurs are (behind, from left) Matthew Jaap, Cole van der Merwe, Allan Andries, Keanu Fullera and Jordan Visagie.
