GALLERY | Cape 1000 rally revs up Stellenbosch

The Cape 1000 rally showcased 65 unique vintage and modern cars in Stellenbosch, captivating petrolheads. The event included stops in Franschhoek and Hermanus, culminating in Cape Town.


Petrol heads and vintage car lovers in Stellenbosch had a chance to get an eyeful when The Cape 1000 rally made its way through town on Monday (17 March).

The Cape 1000 is a motoring rally featuring 65 unique cars, which started the ride from the V&A Waterfront at the start of the week. The various vintage and modern supercars were hand selected for the four-day long ride, which had stops in Stellenbosch as well as Franschhoek and Hermanus.

The drivers will head back to Cape Town for the awards dinner tonight (Thursday 20 March). Car lovers made sure to capture a photograph or two of the cars on display. The rally was first held in 2022 and is hosted in partnership with investment and wealth management business, Private Clients by Old Mutual Wealth.
