The spirit of music and community will fill the air when the e’Bosch Primary School Choir Festival takes centre stage at Ida’s Valley Primary School hall at 18:00 on Thursday 18 September.
The much-anticipated annual event will showcase the exceptional talent and dedication of young singers from 18 Stellenbosch schools: Cloetesville, St Idas, Rietenbosch, Pieter Langeveldt, Ida’s Valley, Ikhaya, AF Louw, JJ Rhode, Klapmuts 1, Klapmuts 2, Dalabuhle, Joostenberg, St Vincent, Simondium, Raithby, Weber Gedenk, Dorothea and St Paul’s (Faure) primary schools.
Founded in 2011, the e’Bosch Heritage Project is a response to decades of social exclusion. It stands for respecting human dignity, eliminating social injustices and fostering social inclusion. By celebrating heritage and building bridges across social and cultural groups, the project encourages unity in diversity.
“This festival is about more than just music; it’s about building bridges between schools, celebrating our heritage, and giving our youth a platform to shine,” said John Frans, e’Bosch School Choir project manager.
As part of the organisation’s annual programme the festival highlights the power of music to bring people together. Each choir will present a unique selection of songs, ranging from soulful harmonies to energetic and uplifting arrangements.
Admission to the festival, which promises to be an inspiring evening for all, is free. Music lovers, parents and community members are warmly invited to attend and experience the joy of choral harmony.
