Franschhoek will be brightened up by the colours of French flag as the town celebrates Bastille Day, following a two-year break, on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 July.
The quaint town’s main road will be the place to be as all things French-inspired is placed on the forefront throughout the event. Those attending will don berets and red, white and blue clothing as they soak all Franschhoek has to offer – great wines, delicious food and superb hospitality.
Among the activities and treats on offer will be French-inspired street food, freshly baked croissants, filled baguettes, croque monsieur, moules frites, cinnamon sugar pancakes, music by Franschhoek’s local band at the town hall and the region’s superb wines at Franschhoek Cellars and The Franschhoek Square.
Tasting glasses and wine coupons (eight coupons per person) can be pre-booked at R180 per person through Webtickets. Additional tasting coupons will be available to purchase.
