Stellenbosch & District-Coronation Rugby Club recently held its annual awards evening at the Rietenbosch Primary School hall on Saturday (26 October). The top players of the pass season were celebrated while the team had a social evening.
Aiden Hendricks (right) was named the best forward player in the second team. Vice-chairperson James Manual, who received the award for most loyal executive member, handed over his prizes.
Houston handed over an award to Ralton Daniels, who claimed the award for best forward player in the first team.
Denevin Stewart (left) was named the second team’s best backline player and the player who made the most progress. He is pictured with head coach Johan Isaacs.
Manual was on hand to present Nizaam Abrahams the prize for the most loyal player.
Sedique Abrahams received a special award for always being willing to play, no matter the team or position. Houston proudly handed over the certificate.
Asha Zeeman (left) walked away for the trophy for first team backline player, players’ player of the year and player of the year awards, while Tauriq Patel was named the club’s most courageous player and sportsman of the year.
