Run and sip your way through the trails at the Warwick Wine Estate this weekend.

Warm up on a winter’s Sunday (14 July) by running in the green Winelands and sip some wine at a refreshment station on the route. The first Wine Adventure Trail Run was held in 2015, and Dirtopia’s trail team will open single-track especially for the event.

Join another of the Sportsman’s Warehouse trail-run events by taking part in either a 5 km (scholars and walkers welcome), 10 km or the most challenging 15 km. All routes stop at the water point, where they can taste Warwick’s Sauvignon Blanc and/or Pinotage wines.

Stunning views of Simonsberg and the Winelands from the slopes of Klapmutskop can be seen. Dirtopia’s signature forest single-track trails are never boring, and it’s always a treat to be out in nature.

Only online entries qualify for an event medal and a discount as kids pay only R60 online. Pre-entry prices for the adults are between R150 and R230, depending on the distance.

There are a total of R2 000 worth of vouchers to be won from Sportsman’s Warehouse as well as top wines from the farm as well as Falke running socks. There is a well-stocked refreshment station on the routes.

Massages from Ultimate Sports Recovery can be booked with entries. Coffee will be ready in the morning and samples from online wellness retailer Smul. Lucky draw prizes are also up for grabs. Relax before and after your run on the beautiful lawn, and order a burger from Warwick with its famous wines.

Enter at www.dirtpass.co.za by Friday (12 July). Late entries will be accepted from 08:00 on the event day at an additional fee of R50. Timing (live for pre-entries) is optional with a Trail Tag you can rent for R20 or buy.
