Stellenbosch: The Stellenbosch Museum has a temporary exhibition of wedding dresses which can be viewed at Grosvenor House, the third house in the Village Museum complex, until the end of September. Each wedding dress on display conveys a unique story of love, tradition and cultural legacy, giving visitors an insight into the diverse historical aspects of weddings in South Africa. Stellenbosch: The final round of the Hubert van der Spuy National Music Competition will be held at the Endler Hall, comprising a concert with all the finalists at 18:00 for 18:30. It will be live-streamed via the competition’s YouTube channel, or music lovers can attend in person by purchasing tickets, at R80 each, online through Webtickets. Stellenbosch: I Am, We Are will be staged at the Drostdy Theatre at 19:00. The production tells more than just one story; it is a celebration of movement, unity and the timeless art of dance. Spanning generations, each moment is treasured and honoured. The stories unfold through the powerful, graceful movement of bodies, revealing the depth of shared experiences. SATERDAG 21 SEPTEMBER

Stellenbosch: Die Friends of Stellenbosch Mountain (FSM) hou sy maandelikse “hack”-saamtrek van ongeveer drie uur van 13:30 af in die Paradyskloof-natuurgebied. Inwoners word genooi om die FSM te help om die fynbos te beskerm deur indringerplante te verwyder. Ontspan in die natuurskoon en kry terselfdertyd praktiese ervaring. Stellenbosch: In commemoration of Heritage Day and to celebrate the cultural wealth and diversity of the communities of Stellenbosch, the Stellenbosch Museum is hosting a Heritage Fair at the Village Museum in Ryneveld Street from 10:00 to 14:00. The fair includes workshops, exhibitions and performances, including but not limited to, the Arabic-Afrikaans writing tradition, Xhosa beadwork, oil painting, knapping (flint shaping), basic isiXhosa language and wine tastings. Music performances include a “Malay choir”, Khoi music performance and a Boereorkes performance. Tickets, at R100 per adult and R50 per child, can be obtained from the museum ticket office in Ryneveld Street. Call 021 887 2937.

Knorhoek: The Spring Trail Run, presented by Dirtopia and Sportsmans Warehouse, will be held at Knorhoek Wine Estate. Participants can choose between the 6 km race or the more challenging 11 km route that climbs amazing trails in the valley. The shorter route is ideal for walkers, with a special category for under 18s. There will be food and wine on sale, a prize giving, lucky draws, professional photography, medals for finishers, refreshment stations on the routes, massages and a soft drink as runners finish. Stellenbosch: Stellenbosch Alcoholics Anonymous as well as the Al-Anon group meet in the rooms of the Stellenbosch Baptist church at 6 Merriman Avenue every Thursday at 19:30.

VRYDAG 27 SEPTEMBER

SUNDAY 29 SEPTEMBER

Stellenbosch: The Mudita Foundation hosts its Serenity Fun Run at the Blaauwklippen Wine Estate. Participants can choose between a 6 km or 10 km run, both starting at 08:00. Late registration is available from 06:30, with fees set at R75 for adults and R55 for children under 14 for the 6 km run, and R95 for adults and R75 for children under 14 for the 10 km run.
