Stellenbosch: Ilne Fourie is terug op die verhoog van die Drostdy-teater met ’n splinternuwe eenvrouvertoning, Verkleurvroutjie. In die prettige toneelstuk laat Fourie die gehoor kies wat hulle volgende wil sien of hoor. Sy spring moeiteloos tussen verskillende genres en laat die gehoor kies uit die sewe kleure van die reënboog – komedie, drama, uit die oudedoos, opera, skouspel, radiodrama, poësie. Dis dan wanneer die poppe begin dans, want Fourie verander dadelik van karakter na aanleiding van die gehoor se keuse van genre wat hul wil sien. Die vertoning begin om 20:15. Kaartjies kos R190 elk en kan deur Webtickets bespreek word. Geen kinders onder 13 word toegelaat nie.

Stellenbosch: The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO) has opened the dress rehearsal for the sold-out annual tribute concert to the late philanthropist Huberte Rupert to the public. The rehearsal of Beethoven’s Fifth, featuring CPO principal guest conductor Bernhard Gueller and piano virtuoso Qden Blaauw, will be held at the Endler Hall at 16:00. Unreserved tickets cost R75 each and can be booked through Webtickets and Artscape Dial-A-Seat on 021 421 7695. The doors for the rehearsal performance will open at 15:45.

Stellenbosch: Richmond Loop, a multimedia response to an artist residency in the Karoo town, will be screened at the Neelsie Cinema until Sunday 1 December. It is a collaboration between new music composer Prof Michael Blake and conceptual artist Emma Willemse. The artists will be present to take questions after the showing today (Thursday) at 17:30.

Stellenbosch: The final student exhibition of the Mariè Stander School of Art is on show at the PJ Olivier Art Centre until Monday 2 December. All the artwork on display is a show of the students’ work for the year. The exhibition will, as a result, present a variety of subjects and mediums.

Stellenbosch: The annual Sunset Carols event at Middelvlei Wine Farm will be held from 18:15 and is open to all. The young ones can run around freely, get to know the farm animals or participate in some fun traditional games while the older generation sits back and relaxes while sipping on a glass of wine. As per tradition, Father Christmas will make a special guest appearance to hand out gifts, and the evening concludes with everyone joining in the singalong to Christmas carols. Johannesdal: Be part of the enthusiastic community building up the Argentine tango at Die Boekklub off the Helshoogte Pass from 15:00 to 18:00. The event is organised by an organisation dedicated to building the Argentine tango dance and music community in the Boland and celebrating Afro-Argentine artistic culture. The event is open to newcomers and experienced dancers. There will be a lesson from 15:00 to 16:30, followed by a practica until 18:00.
