The leaves are changing colour, the sun rises later and it cools down at night. Autumn is a wonderful time of year to enjoy the colourful scenery of the Winelands.
Trail runners will be treated to single-track trails and awesome views of the winelands from Knorhoek Wine Estate, on Easter Monday morning 10 April.
Presented by Sportsmans Warehouse, the Easter Trail Run offers a 6 km and tougher 11 km that will start at 08:30. Perhaps you’ll find the Easter bunny in the forest or even some eggs!
These routes have Dirtopia signature trails through forest and various other terrain in the Knorhoek Valley, below the Simonsberg. Always a special trail running experience in the Stellenbosch area and this event will create more Easter weekend memories!
A fully stocked water point on both routes will include fresh fruit, while all finishers receive a medal and Coke. Coffee will be available when registration opens at 07:30 and the restaurant will offer grab-n-go meals.
All participants will stand a chance to win vouchers from the title sponsor, Falcke socks and wine in the lucky draw and prizes will also go to the winners in each distance.
Enjoy the morning on the lawns and stroll through the gardens after you run. Recovery massages will also be on offer.
Enter online at www.dirtpass.co.za to save by Saturday night, 8 April with the 6 km at R140 and 11 km R170. Note kids pay only R60 for pre-entries!
Late entries will be accepted on the morning at a higher fee. There’s also an Easter-egg hunt for kids, so bring the family.
Live timing by Trail Tag is optional (but recommended) and professional photographer Chris Hitchcock will capture the memories.
