Fairtree Imperial Cannondale took part in the Absa Cape Epic and fared very well. The Stellenbosch and Kayamandi-based riders are (from left) Sive Boyce (only female in the team), Thembela Lukalo (Fairtree Imperial Cannondale 2) raced in Exarro Cat, Lorenzo le Roux (Fairtree Imperial Cannondale 1) raced in UCI Cat, Avuyile Mhlahlo (Fairtree Imperial Cannondale 3) raced in Exarro Cat, Lihle Ngidi (Fairtree Imperial Cannondale 2), Chris Norton, Team Manager (Individual finisher), Luyanda Thobigunya (Fairtree imperial Cannondale 1) raced in UCI Cat and Thando Nthuthu (Team Captain). The other teams raced for Woolworths and Dimension Data Results. Thobigunya and Le Roux ended 43rd on the GC and 33rd in the men, while Lukalo and Ngidi finished 133rd on the GC and 71st in the men (5th in Exarro Cat). Mhlahlo and Eduardo Engelbrecht finished 207th on the GC and 96th in the men. Other results of the other teams: Fairtree Didata (Siya Thuthu and Sandiso Xetu) came in 111th on the GC and 61st in the men.
