Popular band Sunset Sweatshop will perform at Muratie Wine Estate in Stellenbosch on Saturday 10 February from 11:00 to 17:00.

The Cape band will take to the stage of the Muratie Canvas, the estate’s exquisite transparent marquee with 360-degree panoramic views over the Stellenbosch Winelands and Table Mountain in the distance.

The day promises to be an electric occasion, featuring the innovative and eclectic band’s high-octane energy and soulful melodies, great company, yummy food and superb wine.

Sunset Sweatshop is a “feel-good” South African band that seamlessly blends its unique style with a distinctive local flavour. Founded by a group of talented and diverse musicians, the group infuses its music with rich cultural influences, creating a musical tapestry that celebrates the beauty and diversity of South Africa.

Since the release of their debut single “Move It”, the band has been an absolute hurricane in the local music industry. With a captivating blend of genres such as Afrobeat, funk and soul, the band creates a distinct and infectious sound that keeps its audiences grooving.

Sunset Sweatshop’s lyrics often touch on social issues and universal themes, making their music not only entertaining but also thought-provoking. As they continue to push musical boundaries and spread their rhythmic magic, the band is a shining example of SA’s rich musical heritage and its contribution to the global music landscape.

The gates open at 11:00, with lunch served from noon. The music starts with local artists Kruger and Tutu taking to the stage for an opening act at 12:30, followed by the headliners at 14:30. Seating will be in the form of a long table with informal family-style sharing and a variety of food, Muratie wines and other beverages on sale.
