The Fairtree Imperial Cannondale (FIC) Riders competed in their penultimate event before taking on the Absa Cape Epic MTB later this month.
FIC riders, Luyanda Tobigunya (3:42:15, 26th), Kusaselihle Ngidi (4:01:04, 44th), Atlahang Motsokotsi (4:22:29, 44th), Ongeziwe Tyapa (4:29:23, 45th) and Thembela Lukalo (4:43:20, 47th) had a challenging SA XCM Championships in Paarl on 4 March.
“This was another great race to prepare the team for the Cape Epic in two weeks’ time. The 80 km course is technical with 1 800 m of climbing making it another tough day in the saddle. The team did brilliantly in a tough field, with everyone finishing in the top 50,”siad Chris Norton of FIC.
With their final ride, before the Cape Epic, the Cape Town Cycle Tour they hope the riders will get a more relaxed yet fast paced day to do their final preparation.
