Imbadu Community Bakery Cooperative in Khayamandi received a financial boost, thanks to the Department of Social Development and the National Development Agency (NDA).

The article “Hefty cash boost for Imbadu co-op” stated that the Imbadu Housing Enablement Primary Cooperative Limited was established in August 2023 with about 600 people (Eikestadnuus, 17 July).

The co-op was in fact established in August 2013, and wishes to clarify that its focus has not shifted to solely the Imbadu Community Bakery Primary Cooperative Limited. The organisation is still working on housing and meetings are underway pertaining to housing developments.

Imbadu Community Bakery Primary Cooperative Limited was not started from the co-op’s saving. It came from a proposal to the National Development Agency (NDA), from which various income generating cooperatives were started of which Imbadu Community Bakery Primary Cooperative Limited is one.

Eikestadnuus apologises for the errors.
