The distribution of drugs in the Western Cape was dealt a blow when members of Stellenbosch police and the Crime Intelligence Unit executed search warrants in the Khayamandi area last Friday (25 April). The officers searched a premises in Bassi Street, where they seized a large amount of cocaine and crystal meth. They arrested two Nigerian nationals for dealing in drugs.
The estimated street value of the drugs is R400 000. The suspects also face charges in terms of the Immigration Act. They were due to make a court appearance in the Stellenbosch Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (29 April).
