A colourful, floral affair hit the streets of Stellenbosch on Tuesday (31 October), when the annual Garden Town Stellenbosch Flower Parade wove its way through the town. Among those participating in the parade (from left) were Thembalethu Seyisi (Stellenbosch resident and News24 Young Mandela’s of the Future 2022), writer, TV presenter and actress Leatitia Solomons and Stellebosch mayor Adv. Gesie van Deventer. Garden Town Stellenbosch is a calendar highlight in the winelands town, hosted until this Sunday (5 November). It is curated by Visit Stellenbosch, in collaboration with key tourism stakeholders including the Stellenbosch Municipality and Stellenbosch Wine Routes, and aims to nurture tourism and experiential economy for the holistic benefit of all local communities. During the two-week event guests are urged to immerse themselves in horticultural wonders and floral artistry, embark on culinary journeys and invigorating hikes, and engage with the town’s gardening specialists against the captivating Stellenbosch backdrop.
