The Rotary Club of Stellenbosch and local companies united to host a successful golf day for less fortunate members of the community.
On Thursday 25 April they raised funds that will go towards vital community-service projects and services. The event brought together golf enthusiasts, philanthropists and volunteers for a day of fun, camaraderie and giving back.
The day started well, as participants teed-off at Stellenbosch Golf Club. Throughout the day golfers enjoyed the beautiful scenery, friendly competition, and convivial atmosphere.
Meanwhile, volunteers and sponsors worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for all.
The event’s success was evident in the more than R100 000 raised.
“We are extremely grateful for the outpouring of support from our sponsors and players” said Stuart Hunter, president of Rotary Club of Stellenbosch. “The day was a testament to the power of kindness and commitment from our sponsors and players!”
As the sun set on the golf course, participants and volunteers gathered for the closing ceremony, where they shared stories, thanked sponsors and celebrated the day’s triumphs over a delicious meal prepared by Stellenbosch Golf Club.
The Rotary club thanked all the sponsors who made the day possible. It believes the event may be over, but its impact will be felt for months to come.
