The e’Bosch Heritage Project, in partnership with local stakeholders, will bring fun, creativity, and learning to children across Stellenbosch and surrounds during this winter school holidays.
Running from Monday 30 June to Saturday 19 July, the programme is open to youth aged six to 18, and includes a wide range of free activities.
Each dorpie (community hub) will offer four exciting streams – sports and recreation; arts and crafts; music and movement; and drama – ensuring there’s something for everyone.
The sports and recreation component will teach teamwork, resilience, and leadership, ending in a grand sports day on Saturday 19 July, with soccer, netball, and tug-of-war tournaments. Coaches and facilitators were recently certified at a training session.
The music and movement stream leads up to the Space Olympic Showcase on Wednesday 16 July, where young performers from each dorpie will showcase their talent in music, dance, and drama.
Arts and crafts participants will create props, costumes, and decorations, turning their creativity into a shared celebration.
Parents and community members are encouraged to get involved by enrolling children or volunteering.
