The Kayamandi Women and Children’s Development Project (KWCDP), in partnership with Kayamandi Community Development, recently visited Ida’s Valley Primary with the aim to raise awareness about women and child abuse.

“Our children are mainly affected by the abuse that takes place at home or in the community, and therefore we felt it necessary to spread awareness at the schools,” says Koketso Tsooana, of KWCDP.

“We want to help and encourage those filled with anger, who lack confidence and often end up bottling everything up inside.”

The group was warmly welcomed when they visited and the programme was a huge success.

“This is the start of many more to come,” says Tsooana.
