Stellenbosch recently welcomed two international stars to its streets when five-time football freestyle world champion Aguska Mnich and two-time football freestyle world record holder Patrick Bäurer (far left) were hosted by Stellenbosch Football Club. Aguska and Patrick joined the club and the Open Play Foundation at the new GreenSource synthetic pitch in Khayamandi, where 60 children from Khayamandi Primary School were treated to a live performance and an educational workshop by the pair. Later, the freestyle superstars were at the Danie Craven Stadium to watch Stellenbosch FC defeat rivals Cape Town City 1-0 in a derby encounter and delivered a memorable half-time performance for the home crowd during the match. They also attended and performed at a youth sports awards ceremony in Idas Valley over the weekend before embarking on a series of small outreach events for children in Cloetesville and other communities surrounding Stellenbosch.
