- Stellenbosch: Juan Boucher tree om 20:15 in die Drostdy-teater op. Met sy negende album, Die Rower, dien Boucher die Afrikaanse mark met ’n vars bries van romantiek en mistiek. Die titelsnit, “Die Rower”, is ’n lied wat die luisteraar meeneem op ’n reis van liefde en verlange, met ’n atmosfeer wat soos mis oor die see hang. Die album is ’n bewys van sy talent en vermoë om die harte van sy gehoor aan te raak. Een van die hoogtepunte van Die Rower is die duet wat Boucher saam met die towerstem-sangeres, Tasché, uitgevoer het. Kaartjies kos R300 elk en kan aanlyn by Computicket bespreek word.
- Stellenbosch: Enacting the possibility of river mouths as storytellers and historiographers, artist Abri de Swardt’s Kammakamma is the opening episode of the second work in a moving-image trilogy that visually, archivally and sonically explores the Eerste River as witness and carrier of submerged narratives. The solo exhibition is currently showing at Gallery University Stellenbosch (GUS), on the corner of Bird and Dorp streets, and was developed through production residencies at GUS and the Nirox Foundation. It will be on display until Saturday 30 March and can be viewed on weekdays from 09:00 to 16:00, and Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00.

- Stellenbosch: Muratie Wine Estate holds its annual Harvest Festival on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 Match from 10:00 to 17:00. The two-day showcase of farm living at its finest takes place under the ancient oaks that guard this historic estate. In addition, tractor rides, historic tours of the werf and the cellar, and of course grape stomping await all wine enthusiasts. - Somerset West: A public lecture entitled “Is theistic evolution compatible with the Christian faith?” will be delivered by Professor Gerhard van Wyk at Helderberg College at 17:00. His initial scientific studies were in the area of geology, where he realised the claims of macro-evolutionary theory have serious challenges. Later he widened his scope of study to theology. After lecturing in Unisa’s Theology Department for many years, Van Wyk spent the last number of years in the USA where he produced his magisterial work entitled Hiding Behind the Fig Leaves – Deconstructing the Philosophical Fig Leaves of Liberals and Theistic Evolutionists. - Stellenbosch: The Marié Stander School of Art will hold its annual Charity Art Auction at Muratie Wine Estate, with the viewing at 17:30 and the auction starting at 19:00. Artwork inspired by the theme, The Colour of Love, will go under the hammer in aid of underprivileged children in and around Stellenbosch. The evening is characteristic of beautiful art, lovely Muratie wine and canapés by Red Pepper Catering, all to the background music of the blues band The Stander Gang. The proceeds of the annual auction has positively changed children’s lives, so art lovers are urged to support the worthy cause. Tickets cost R250. - Wellington: The Go Wellington Family Festival will be held at the Old Tannery, a charming shopping district developed on the premises of the former Western Tanning & Boot Company of 1871, from 10:00 to 18:00.
