Between Two Worlds, an exclusive garden installation by celebrated Landscaper of the Year 2024 Leon Kluge, will be on display at Hazendal Wine Estate on Bottelary Road from Tuesday 22 April to Friday 2 May.
The installation is an immersive multi-sensory experience that transports visitors into an evocative state of between wake and sleep through celebrating the beauty of the plant kingdom. The extraordinary garden earned South Africa top honours at the Singapore Garden Festival last year. It earned a gold medal and the Best on Show and Best Lighting awards at the prestigious festival.
Kluge is an internationally acclaimed landscape artist and botanist known for his bold and thought-provoking creations. He won the Best Exhibit in the Pavilion award and the Best New Design award at the prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show in London as well, gleaning perfect scores from the RHS judges.
Kluge continues to push the boundaries of garden design, blending exceptional artistic vision and horticultural expertise to create spaces that inspire and educate people about botanics.
Hazendal is proud to present the internationally-acclaimed Between Two Worlds masterpiece, which forms part of the estate’s approach to inspire cultural conversations through meaningful art, considered craftsmanship, and mindful innovation. The estate is also partnering with Kluge to reimagine the gardens and create a new botanical garden dedicated to the renosterveld community of the Cape in the farm’s vineyards.
