Music e Vino,
a spectacular event filled with musical talent and knowledge, will be presented by Cape Wine Master Elsie Pells and maestro Lee Berg at Markötter clubhouse in Stellenbosch on Monday 8 August at 18:00.

This one-night-only event is hosted by Hart Events to celebrate the synergy between music and wine, two unique phenomena with their own language which people all over the world understand.

Pells will share her extensive knowledge of wine with guests. She said: “Wine and music are not one thing, but many. To enjoy both you do not have to know it all, but must pay attention. If you learn to listen to what either has to say you soon realise some wines and some pieces of music just have more to say than others, so the shared experience of music and wine starts a new conversation.”

Gordon’s Bay resident Berg is also part of bringing the production to life. The opera singer, producer and musical extraordinaire will perform a set of enchanting numbers. “Enriching lives with music is my biggest and most rewarding passion in life. It’s a passion that dovetails with the dreams I have of my performances and the possibility of touching someone’s heart with my form of art and energy,” he said.

“Being a part of this unique idea and vision is something that brings me a lot of joy. It becomes something that carries a sense of belonging, a sense of feeling and a tasteful experience. I am excited to do this, as it really is unique in its characteristics, and has the potential to change the way we look at the two crafts that is wine and music.”
