Some of the best riders in the world will be pushing progression to the limits when Darkfest 2024 takes place at Vuurberg farm in Stellenbosch from Saturday 3 to Saturday 10 February.
Sam Reynolds and the Darkfest team are preparing the mammoth course for a big week of sends. The event is an assemblage of invited riders from across the globe, who send a series of enormous jumps and perform extremely high-risk tricks that are sensational to watch. Dedication, skill, inventiveness and fearlessness are what makes up the event.
Due to strong interest from mountain biking and action sports fans, a limited batch of tickets will be on sale to watch the action live at The Hellsend Dirt Compound at Vuurberg farm from 08:00 to 17:00 on Saturday 10 February.
The rider list is stacked, with returning Darkfest veterans, some heavy new additions and some of the leading women in MTB Freeride. They will unleash their bikes on the famous course, including the 110 ft jump.
This year will be cooler than ever with the trails crew rebuilding and perfecting the world’s gnarliest big air course. After the craziness of the world record 120 ft backflip last year, everyone can’t wait to see what happens on the biggest jump ever seen in a competition.
A classic lineup of riders will join Reynolds, and some new faces eager to cut their teeth on the course, including new boys and girls, will join.
