Paddlers of the Maties Canoe Club delivered an impressive performance at the Orange Descent Canoe Mararhon this past weekend (Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 November) showcasing the club's strength and resilience. The  highlight of the two-day race was Rachel van Deventer's exceptional result, finishing second overall and first in the K1 category. She was also the "First Lady". The local club continues to build momentum, with members proudly flying the flag with passion both on and off the water.
