The Klapmuts Catholic church, located behind the BP petrol station next to the railway line, is getting a new lease on life, thanks to two good Samaritans from Paarl. They are restoring the church at no cost and beautifying the old derelict building for parishioners. Preferring to remain anonymous, the two shared that their reason for doing this was to “praise and thank God.” According to the Koelenhof parish, which runs the Klapmuts church, the building is still being renovated and is not open to the public. It is unclear when it would reopen.
