Students of Stellenbosch University’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences commemorated International Nurses and Midwives Day with the theme “Our Nurses, Our Future – Critical in Time of Crisis” on Monday 12 May – the birthday of Florence Nightingale. The event highlighted the key role of nurses and midwives in healthcare, especially in crisis, and celebrated the achievements of the Department of Nursing and Midwifery, including the launch of its primary care textbook.
