In the spirit of giving and compassion the Annual Stellenbosch Pageant royalty, led by pageant director Queen Enigma von Hamburg, rallied together to host a special Christmas dinner for 75 guests of the Stellenbosch Night Shelter on Saturday 7 December.
The event was a heart-warming display of community spirit and generosity. “Our kings, queens and brand ambassadors, along with their parents and volunteers, worked tirelessly to provide a delicious meal, salads, dessert cupcakes, ice cream and tarts for the guests,” Von Hamburg said.
“The Annual Stellenbosch Pageant is much more than just a beauty pageant, our platform is living proof of the positive impact pageants can have on our community.”
In addition to Christmas dinner, the royals also donated clothing, shoes, reading books, Bibles, toiletries, sanitary supplies, food, cleaning essentials and blankets to the shelter. They also handed a generous monetary donation to the night shelter, which will provide shelter for 150 people in need.
“We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the support and generosity of our royals and sponsors,” Von Hamburg added. “It’s a testament to the power of kindness and compassion, and we’re honoured to have been a part of it.”
