Internationally, October is recognised as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this year the De Zalze Winelands Golf Estate is proudly participating in this important initiative through a collaboration with Pink Trees for Pauline. Several trees on the estate are wrapped in pink fabric as a visual symbol of solidarity with those affected by cancer – a reminder of hope, support and community. As part of the initiative, a donation was also made to the Stellenbosch Hospice to express appreciation for the incredible work it does every day to support patients and their families with dignity and compassion, and the immeasurable difference it makes in their lives. Each pink tree is a beacon, reminding all to stand tall, stay grounded, embrace challenges and keep growing with courage! Adri Jansen van Nieuwenhuizen of Pink Trees for Pauline, Peet de Wet, CEO De Zalze Winelands Golf Estate HOA, and Jennilee Geduld, general manager of Stellenbosch Hospice, helped to make sure the estate lanes are lined in pink.
