This group of Paul Roos Gymnasium learners received prizes at the prizegiving of the UCT Maths Competition on Tuesday 29 July. They are (from left) Daniel Chemaly, Aaron Miller, Jonathan Coolen, Josh Fynn and Marcus Viljoen. Nicolaas de Villiers was absent from the prize-giving. The PRG team was placed seventh overall in the competition. Furthermore, Nicolaas de Villiers and Daniel Chemaly tied for second place in the Grade 12 pairs division, while Josh Flynn and Marcus Viljoen also tied for second in the Grade 11 pairs division. In the individual competitions, Grade 12 learner Aaron Miller tied for third place, while Jonathan Coolen came second in the Grade 9 individual competition.
