Rhenish Girls’ High will face off with Rustenburg Girls’ High this weekend.
First team hockey captain Samantha Smuts says they are prepped and ready to take on Rustenburg Girls’ this Saturday.
“We’ve faced them recently in the quarter-finals of the Cape Town International Hockey Tournament, which resulted in a draw that we, unfortunately, lost in showdowns (defensive play),” she says.
“We have a score to settle with them and plan to do so at 11:00 on our home turf. It is our final match of the season and we would much appreciate all of Stellenbosch’s support.”
Nicole Smithdorf, the first netball team captain, says as this is their final game of the season, they are really looking forward to the clash against Rustenburg Girls’ High.
“It has been a really good season and, for some of us, it will be our last time representing Rhenish so we want to make it the best one. We will live up to our team motto, ‘In unity there is strength’.”
