Rhenish Girls’ High showed their commitment to healthy living this week with their Rhenish Health and Wellness Week (RHAWW).
The week focuses on the importance of: physical activity, a healthy state of mind, good eating habits, managing daily stress and understanding our bodies.
The programme, which runs until Friday 20 October, featured not only events to help the learners get active, such as a number of classes presented by Virgin Active, but also sessions during which mental and emotional health could be explored.
The programme also featured tasty items like a healthy cooking competition and an alternative eating cake sale.
Learners are also encouraged to stay active and healthy when they go home after school with challenges such as going for walks, having a no sugar day, having meals with their families and designing a work timetable for the upcoming exams.
Recipes and home workouts can be found on the RHAWW blog. According to the blog, the goal of the week is to educate, promote and encourage the community to live healthy lifestyles through exciting activities.
