Rhenish Girls’ High School recorded a 100% matric pass rate as well as a 100% bachelor pass rate for 2018. In terms of rankings, Rhenish is the 10th best state school in the Western Cape and also had 45 A candidates as well as 33,33% of candidates who received an average above 80%. There were also 407 subject distinctions.
Danielle Combrink is the top student with an average of 93,86%.
“The remarkable results achieved in 2018 are the culmination of a five-year journey at Rhenish Girls’ High,” said principal Helmien Slabber. “Every teacher who has taught these girls, from Grade 8 to Grade 12, has helped form the young women who walk out of our gates at the end of matric. Our learners and staff are committed and hard working, have the end goal in mind and, while a balanced school life is constantly maintained, academics are a strong focus.”
