Adventure seekers are invited to participate in a fun warm-up ride at Somerbosch Wines this Saturday (5 November) in the build up the Savanna Origin of Trails event later this month. The warm-up is hosted at the wine farm along the R44 by event organisers Stillwater Sports. There will be various marked routes to choose from, with distances ranging from 15 km to 30 km. Riders participating in both events will also receive their official 2022 First Ascent Rider Jersey on the day, while all participants can enjoy an ice-cold Savanna cider after the race, which starts at 08:00. The Savanna Origin of Trails event is an individual two-day mountain-biking stage race that highlights the beauty and splendour of Stellenbosch on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 November. Mountain bikers can look forward to experiencing a vast network of world-class and exclusive trails while celebrating the origin of mountain biking in South Africa. Entries for the two-day event close on Tuesday 15 November or once full capacity has been reached.
