Students of the Mariè Stander School of Art – (from left) Christelle Kriel, Gerhard de Bruin, Janet Traut, Mathilda Malan and Maraleen Jonker-Arangies – working from a live model and busy finishing off their artworks before their final student exhibition, which opens at the PJ Olivier Art Centre in Stellenbosch at 18:30 on Tuesday 26 November. The artworks will be displayed until Monday 2 December. Locals are invited to come and enjoy an evening of beautiful art, wine and live music. The opening speaker is Franci Beyers of Stellenbosch Visio magazine. All the artwork on display is a show of the students’ work for the year. The exhibition will, as a result, present a variety of subjects and mediums.
