In celebration of National Shiraz Day, which is celebrated annually on 21 August, Anthonij Rupert Wyne in the heart of the Franschhoek Wine Valley is dedicating the month of August to this unique wine varietal.
The winery will offer delectable pairings in honour of Shiraz until Wednesday 31 August. The pairing, which will be available from Tuesday to Sunday, will include a delicious three-course Shiraz and venison menu, culminating in a delectable Shiraz-inspired dessert at R495 per person. The trio of dishes include a cured Kudu loin served with parmesan and rocket; slow braised Venison ravioli in brodo; and a mini Venison and root vegetable pie.
The three dishes will be paired with servings of the Protea Shiraz, Cape of Good Hope Riebeeksrivier Syrah and the Anthonij Rupert Wyne Syrah.
