The Story of Johnny Cash delves into the character of one of the most charismatic and controversial artists in American music. Written by Director Nigel Vermaas and Jonny Blundell (guitar) and featuring Jamie Jupiter, Sarah McArthur, and Daniel Franks.

Sin and Salvation, the story of Johnny Cash, will be staged at the Drostdy Theatre in Stellenbosch on Friday 25 October.

The show is a dynamic staging of the highs and lows of the singer’s life, featuring four performers who can deliver those foot-stomping hits, as well as delicate – and occasionally comic – ballads that aim to delight Cash fans, and create new ones.

The musicians are absolutely mind-blowing and the show is so much more than just a tribute to Cash.

It features the incredible Jamie Jupiter as Johnny Cash, Sarah Macharthur as Cash’s daughter and June Carter (on vocals, keyboards, guitar and percussion), double bass player Daniel Frank as Cash’s agent, and guitarist and banjo player Jonny Blundell as narrator. Sin and Salvation is directed by Nigel Vermaas.

The show will be staged at 20:15.
