SPORT: PRG old boys donning green and gold

Three Paul Roos Gymnasium old boys participated in the inaugural Under-20 Rugby Championship on the Sunshine Coast of Australia from Thursday 2 to Sunday 12 May. Mbasa Maqubela (matric 2021, pictured), Reno Hirst (matric 2022), and Jurenzo Julius (matric 2022) were part of the South African under-20 team to claim second place in the competition, which also featured eventual champions New Zealand as well as Argentina and Australia. Julius was also the vice-captain of the team.

Reno Hirst, who was in matric at Paul Roos Gymnasium in 2022, was also part of the junior Springbok team.

Jurenzo Julius, part of the PRG matric class of 2022, was name vice-captain of the junior Springbok team.
