Four Western Cape wine estates, among them two in Stellenbosch and one in the Franschhoek Valley, have been recognised on the extended World’s 50 Best Vineyards list for 2025, showcasing the region’s excellence in wine tourism.
Tokara Wine and Olive Estate and Delaire Graff Estate, both in Stellenbosch, La Motte Wine Estate (Franschhoek) and Hamilton Russell Vineyards (Hemel-en-Aarde) all featured on the coveted global list.
Dr Ivan Meyer, provincial minister of Agriculture, Economic Development and Tourism, expressed his pride in the province’s achievements, adding his congratulations to Stellenbosch-based Township & Village and the !Khwa ttu San Culture and Education Centre in Yzerfontein for their awards at the Global Responsible Tourism Awards 2025 in London last Monday (3 November).
Township & Village was awarded Silver in the Peace, Understanding & Inclusion category, while the West Coast centre received Gold in the Increasing Local Sourcing & Creating Shared Value category.
