Swift response by Stellenbosch Law Enforcement lead to the recovery of a stolen mountain bike this past Sunday (16 October) and the return to its owner.
This followed after the quick action by law enforcement officers and the immediate deployment of drone technology to track the perpetrator and recover the bike. “Stellenbosch Law Enforcement will continue to use all available resources like our unmarked vehicles and drone technology to assist our residents in keeping our streets safe.
This, along with vigilant law enforcement officers, should send a clear message to criminals that we are serious about crime prevention along with our Stellenbosch safety partners – the police, campus security, neighbourhood watches and private security companies,” said Mayco member for Protection Services Rikus Badenhorst.
