Despite the stormy weather local youth were ready to hold the second heritage celebrations.

Volunteers showed up for the community and with the help of Hanky du Toit held a Youth Mini Tournament in Cloetesville on Friday 9 August.

The organisers say they strive to build healthy communities and empowerment of the youth and believe the fight against crime starts at home.

Kylemore born and bred Ronalda Nalumango and her family were also at the event and assisted.

Young people took to the pitch for various football matches on the day. Along with the action on the field the crowd on the day also received soup. The organisers are glad something positive came out of the community and the day helped build healthy communities through sport, while using public spaces in a positive way and in the interest local youth.

The organisers were thankful to all the youth who showed up for the day, for not even the weather could dampen their spirits.
