Idas Valley Football Club took a stand against gender-based violence (GBV) this past Women’s Day (Friday 9 August).
On Thursday (8 August) Idas Valley’s u-17 team embarked on a hike to preserve mother nature and attended a discussion on GBV as part of Women’s Month. “As a club we pride ourselves on being more than just a football club,” coach JP Adams explains, “we teach all our players values that will make them better people in society.” The club thanks Jacobus Hugo of MSCI (Stellenbosch Office) for sponsoring players with goodie bags and Luvuyo Nyamanda of Training4Changes for leading discussions on GBV.
