Three Kayamandi High learners were chosen to represent the Western Cape at the annual Aqua Enduro Competition, hosted by the Department of Water and Sanitation.
The competition focuses on grade 11 learners taking Mathematics and Physical Science as subjects. Learners should also have a keen interest in a career in the water sector. Khagelani Mgoqi, Sinesipho Lentoni and Phila Xhegwana and three other members from different schools will compete in the final during the December holidays.
The trio says they want to make the community aware of the scarcity of water and that everyone should therefore use it sparingly.
