Stellenbosch police are investigating a case of murder and attempted murder after another shooting in Kayamandi this past weekend.
Police received a complaint about a shooting on Sunday, 29 June at 02:00 at Sokuqala Street, Kayamandi. According to police, on arrival they discovered an unknown female lying on her back with a gunshot wound on the left side of her neck. She showed no signs of life.
Officers also found two unknown males with gunshot wounds on the ground inside the house. The female victim was declared dead at the scene, and the two males were taken to Stellenbosch Hospital for medical treatment.
Captain Nathalie Martin, local police spokesperson, says the motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage and no arrests have been made yet.
